The Diamond Jackpot Class is a high-stakes, exciting new addition to the grooming competition circuit, designed to showcase and reward the world’s most skilled and consistent groomers. Spanning three years, this unique class offers a monumental Jackpot Prize based on cumulative points earned each year.

How It Works:

• The Diamond Jackpot Class is hosted annually by Mastergroom Canada and Groomania (Belgium).

• Each participating country crowns its own annual champions, celebrating excellence locally while contributing to the global competition.

Annual Prizes:

Top three competitors at Mastergroom Canada and Groomania receive:

• 1st Place: €2,000 (or CAD $3,000)

• 2nd Place: €1,400 (or CAD $2,000)

• 3rd Place: €1,000 (or CAD $1,500)
  Prizes calculated using the official exchange rate on competition day.

The Progressive Grand Jackpot:

• Mastergroom Canada and Groomania each contribute €2,500 (≈CAD $3,750) to a shared Jackpot Pot, growing over three years.

• The competitor with the highest cumulative points after three years wins the Grand Diamond Jackpot.

Cumulative Points System:

Points earned per placement:

• 1st Place: 10 points

• 2nd Place: 8 points

• 3rd Place: 6 points

• 4th Place: 4 points

• Participation: 1 point

Winning the Grand Diamond Jackpot:

• The top-point holder after three years is crowned Grand Champion.

• Tiebreaker: Anonymous judge vote from past three years.

Rules & Eligibility:

• Open to official competition classes:

  • Handstripping

  • Poodles (Toy, Miniature, Medium, Standard)

  • Spaniels and Setters

  • Pure Breeds

• Time limits align with official class standards (see Mastergroom/Groomania rules).

Participation Requirements:

• Competitors must enter at least one Diamond Jackpot event per year to remain eligible.

Judging Criteria:

Evaluated on (but not limited to):

• Suitability of style

• Skill and difficulty of execution

• Overall balance, symmetry, and finish
