Open to beginners and seasoned groomers alike, this class welcomes competitors working on any purebred or mixed breed dog. Groomers may choose to follow traditional breed standards or create a style that best highlights the dog’s structure and coat type.

The emphasis is on clipper work. Competitors must complete the groom using clippers only, with scissors permitted during the final 10 minutes for finishing touches and refinement. This ensures the focus remains on technical clipper skills — the backbone of real-world grooming.

Competition Time

• Dogs 17" and under: 1 hour
• Dogs 18" and over: 1 hour 15 minutes
